The first CANMRDG meeting was held in 1970, organized by John Grutzner. The annual CANMRDG meeting, traditionally held the first Saturday in November, brings together industrial and academic scientists to discuss current developments in NMR. In recent years, the group has expanded beyond the Chicago area to include the Great Plains and greater Midwest regions.
